The practice will be closed on Monday 7th May for a public holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday 8th May. NHS 24 will be providing cover and can be contacted on 111 should you require medical assistance which cannot wait until the practice re-opens.
From 08/05/2018, the Practice will no longer provide a Travel Clinic Service. Unfortunately, given the increasing pressure on our appointment system, and to free up nursing capacity, the doctors of Tayview have taken the decision to withdraw our Travel Clinic service. Although we are withdrawing our service, you are still entitled to receive certain vaccinations for travel which are available under the NHS and we will continue to provide prescriptions for these vaccinations whilst offering you an appointment to have these administered at the practice.
If you require travel advice, please speak to a receptionist who will be able to assist you further. You will also find further information under the 'Our Services' tab at the top of this page.
AUTOMATED TELEPHONE BOOKING SYSTEM
Following a review of our automated booking system (Patient Partner), it has become apparent that there has been a decline in patient numbers using this system to book appointments. This may be due to a higher percentage of patients now using our online services plus a higher request for urgent appointments on the day. It has also become apparent that a high percentage of our DNA rate (did not attend) is due to the use of this system with just under half of our yearly DNA figures being appointments booked using this system. Furthermore, due to the increasing demand for urgent appointments on the day, this system no longer meets the requirements that it was originally intended for. For this reason, and following discussions with the doctors of the surgery, this system will cease to operate from Monday 14th May 2018.
Patients will still be able to register for our online services in order to book appointments online. Alternatively, appointments can continue to be booked by discussing your needs with one of our reception team. Patients will also continue to receive text messages and email reminders regarding any routine appointment booked whilst being able to cancel any appointment by replying "CANCEL" to their text message reminder.
